About Dr. Amy Tanner

Dr. Amy Tanner, PhD, MSc, BCBA-D, is a behavior analyst, researcher, professor, clinician, author, entrepreneur, and internationally recognized expert in autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, and early child development.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Tanner has worked with children, families, educators, clinicians, and organizations to better understand how people learn, communicate, develop social understanding, regulate emotions, and reach their potential. Her work spans developmental science, behavior analysis, parent-mediated intervention, educational systems, and the emerging intersection of human learning and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Tanner has presented research and professional training throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including invited and keynote presentations in Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, and beyond. She has collaborated internationally with clinicians, educators, and organizations in countries including Indonesia, Egypt, France, and the Czech Republic through consulting, training, and capacity-building initiatives.

As a professor, Dr. Tanner has spent more than a decade teaching and mentoring future clinicians, researchers, and educators at the university level. She is known for translating complex developmental and behavioral science into practical, accessible strategies that empower both professionals and families.

Dr. Tanner previously served as a Clinical Manager at one of Canada's largest autism service organizations, where she led interdisciplinary teams of more than 80 professionals supporting approximately 250 families. She has also contributed internationally through the Global Autism Project's SkillCorps program, helping expand access to evidence-based autism services and professional training around the world.

She is the creator of SPARC (Sequential Parent Curriculum), an evidence-informed parent coaching program designed to help infants and toddlers showing early signs of autism or developmental delay. SPARC was developed to bridge the gap between developmental science and everyday parenting, giving families practical tools to support communication, social engagement, learning, and development during the earliest years of life.

Across every role—clinician, educator, researcher, consultant, founder, and author—Dr. Tanner's mission remains the same: helping people understand how learning happens and creating systems that allow children, families, and professionals to thrive.
